SAW Symposium 2010: Wireless passive sensors for harsh environments
November 11th - 12th, Villach, Austria

As a link between industry and science, the organiser CTR AG, has specialised in developing surface
acoustic wave (SAW)-based systems for particularly demanding identification and measuring tasks:
position, temperature, pressure or acceleration can thus be determined at high scanning speed.
Wireless sensors have a wide range of applications in harsh environments, but most importantly, they
make new sensing applications possible.
The goal of the international SAW Symposium 2010 is to create a platform for cross-pollination of ideas
between science and industry on wireless SAW sensor technology while acting as inspiration for inno-
vative and as yet unknown applications.
The SAW Symposium 2010 will provide essential information and showcase industrial application possi-
bilities of SAW sensor technology with international experts from the industry demonstrating the appli-
cations.

Target audience
steel production, medical engineering, electrical drives, automotive, aircraft industry, mining, injection
moulding, oil & gas,
