The scratch-resistant, fully-potted glass optics are built into a V2A stainlesssteel housing, which guarantees an excellent resistance to most media. The sensing head is totally impermeable and features IP68 degree of protection. Due to the fact that it contains no moving parts, the ultra-light fibre (28 g) is very rugged and durable. The device consists of 2 individual fibres with an outside diameter of 2.2 mm and a standard length of 2 m, which can be cut if necessary. Fine inner fibres of PMMA with a diameter of 0.5 mm moreover ensure excellent re- solution. The fibres may be used with the 3060 or 3066 fibre-optic amplifiers for DIN-rail mounting from Contrinex, which feature a reduced housing width of only 10 mm and are thus ideal for stacking, even in large numbers. For the time being, the range includes models with distance setting by means of potentiometer or teach-in. The teach- in models feature a digital display, additional manual fine adjustment and output switching delay and stretching.
