This small device allows the wireless, bidirectional monitoring of measured values via a radio network. SPY is available for various measurands such as temperature, humidity, pressure, current and voltage. The measured data are transmitted in the 868 MHz band within a range of up to 2 km. SPY enables up to 200 different measuring points to be linked into a network and monitored with only one PC in a cost-efficient way. Limit alarms can be set and monitored for all measurands. The system also opens GSM connections, allowing alarm messages to be transmitted via the mobile phone network. Alternatively, the device may be connected to a LAN, so that e-mails can be generated and sent. Thus, SPY is an ideal system for wireless monitoring of measured values without the need for expensive installations. Any possible malfunctions can be reported by sending alarm e-mails via SMS at any time.
