Now a total of eight inspection packages are available for download - free of charge. With these new packages, you can solve many inspection tasks even more easily and safely. Pattern Matching determines the position of an object and compares the current camera image to a template. Hence it is ideally suited for presence checking and easy assembly control. The new Feature Extraction package can be used for the same application field, though its inspection routine evaluates geometric features such as area and number of objects. Of course, the previous six software packages, e.g. for object recognition, sorting and color detection, are still available. Vision Sensors bridge the gap between Machine Vision and conventional photoelectric sensors. In contrast to optosensors, which detect primarily via a single spot, Vision Sensors perform two-dimensional inspection, enabling reliable object inspection even under adverse conditions. With four different sensor heads, the LightPix series can handle a variety of inspection areas from 1.6 x 2 mm to 70 x 80 mm. You can easily configure LightPix with a Windows based software featuring user-friendly, vision-oriented menus. Connected via a USB interface, pictures can be transferred to the PC where all inspection adjustments are made. A backup function and measurement-value display are also available. The sensor automatically recognizes test objects via “Teach-In”, thereby optimizing inspection parameters. An operation unit and display unit are available so that you can make on-site adjustments quickly. During control, the 2“ color monitor shows the current camera picture and features detected, revealing the correct function and position of the inspection area at a glance.
